About Us

In partnership with Crosslink Community Church, FCC officially launched on January 7, 2024 at the site of the former Fishersville Baptist Church. Building upon the 75-year legacy of this property, we desire to love each other and our community by doing life together, helping to meet practical needs in the community, and ultimately growing in our faith together.

Our Vision

To make Jesus famous in Fishersville, across Augusta County, & around the world.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Our Mission

To love God fully, to love people deeply, and to serve our community open-handedly.

“…‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:30-31

Our Values

At FCC, our values are to be:
Prayer-focused
Worship-centered
Relationship-minded
Service-oriented

What We Believe

These are some of our core beliefs.

Holy Bible

The Bible

The Bible is God’s Word, written by human authors under the divine, supernatural inspiration of God. Because it is God and He is holy (perfect) – every word is true and holy.

Exodus 24:4; Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Psalm 119:7-10; Jeremiah 15:16; Matthew 5:17-18; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-17.

God

There is only one, true, living God. He is perfect, He is all-powerful, and all-knowing. He reveals Himself to us as One God in Three Persons through the Trinity: God the Father, God the Spirit, God the Son. He is our Creator, Our Healer, and our Redeemer.

Genesis 1:1, 2:7; Exodus 6:2-3; Psalm 119:1-3; Jeremiah 10:10; Matthew 28:19; Luke 1:35; 2 Corinthians 13:14; James 2:19.

Man

Man (mankind) is God’s greatest creation, as we were created in God’s own image. We were created to have fellowship with God but were separated from God because of our sin, starting with the fall of man found in Genesis.

Each person has been created uniquely, with specific gifts and abilities, by a loving but jealous God. Because of our separation from God, we need a mediator in order to have fellowship with God.

Salvation

Jesus Christ is our mediator and He alone provides a way for us to be restored to relationship with God through salvation and the forgiveness of sin.

Jesus left Heaven to be born as a baby, live a perfect and sinless life, only to shed His blood through death on the cross…in order to pay our sin debt, making a way for us to be in fellowship with God once again. Faith in Jesus Christ alone, combined with repentance of sin, is the only path to salvation.

The Church

The Church is the worldwide body of believers – followers of Jesus Christ – past, present, and future. The local church is comprised of a local body of believers committed to the teachings and commands of Jesus, including taking His gospel to the globe, both near and far. The local church is a covenant community… established by the Father, built by the Son, and unified by the Spirit.

“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

– Hebrews 13:16

“Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”

– Romans 12:13

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

– Matthew 5:16
